Admission Process

The admission process helps us to ensure that we have the right match between what you are looking for in a school and what we hope for in a student.

  • Admission will be granted till the availability of seats on a first come first serve basis.
  • The school academic session commences in April and extends up to March of the following year.
  • Students are admitted to the school throughout the year depending on the vacancies arising in any given class.
  • There will be a student and parent interaction for those who have registered their wards.
  • The parents must inform the school in case their child requires some special assistance due to any health reasons at the time of admission.
  • Parents are expected to make a good faith disclosure of any suspected or identified special needs when they apply for admission.

School Visit at Alpine Convent School

Parents / Guardians are invited to visit the School campus to understand the culture and ethos of the Institution.

Interaction

We look forward to an interaction with you and your child. This will help us gain insight into the student's educational development, language and social skills, academic inclination and extra-curricular interests.

Process

To complete Admission by way of seat blocking, parents are requested to fill the Admission Form (part of the Prospectus) and submit along with the seat blocking fee. In addition, the following documents to be submitted within 7 days of the offer for admission:

  • One photocopy of the student's Birth Certificate. (Kindly carry the original for verification).
  • Photocopy of the previous class Report Cards of 2 years. (For Class VI and above).
  • Transfer Certificate in original.
  • Photocopy of the previous class Report Card to be submitted in school (For Class III and above).
  • Passport Size photograph.
  • Aadhaar Card copy of the parent and their Child.

(For admission of students in Grade III and above ) attended the School will require a letter from the Principal of the last School attended stating the bonafide of the student along with the report of the last examination given).

  • Photocopies of all achievement certificates in the field of Academics, Sports, Extra - Curricular activities.
  • For admission in Montessori and Grade II, there will be parent and child interaction with the Principal/Headmistress/Pre Primary Reps.

Montessori

Class Age Criteria , as per the Academic Year for which admission is required. Depending on the educational milestone, the age limit may be relaxed by a few months
Pre-Montessori Minimum 2 years children born between 1st April 2020 and 30 June 2020 are age-eligible for application to Pre-Mont
Montessori-1 3+ years as on 30 March 2023 children born between 1st April 2020 and 30 June 2020 are age-eligible for application to Mont-1
Montessori-2 4+ years as on 30 March 2023 children born between 1st April 2019 and 30 June 2019 are age-eligible for application to Mont-2
Montessori-3 5+ years on 30 March 2023 children born between 1st April 2018 and 30 June 2018 are age-eligible for application to Mont-3
  • For admission in Grade III, there will be an age-appropriate assessment (written as well as oral assessment) through evaluative worksheets to test general comprehension levels of the child.
  • For admission to Grade IX and XI, there will be an age-appropriate assessment (written as well as oral assessment) through evaluative worksheets to test general comprehension levels of the child.

Admissions up to Class VIII (i.e. Class VIII and below) shall be regulated by the rules, regulations, orders of the State/U.T. Governments applicable to the place where the School is located.

Admission to Class IX in a school shall be open only to such a student who has passed class VIII examination from an institution affiliated to CBSE Board or to any recognised Board or is recognised by the Education Department of the Government of the State/U. T. in which such an institution is located.

Admission to Class X : As the syllabus prescribed at Secondary level is of two years integrated course, no admission shall be taken in Class X directly. Provided further that admission to Class X in a school shall be open only to such a student who:

  • has completed a regular course of study for class IX, and
  • has passed class IX examination from an institution affiliated to this Board.
  • A student who has completed a regular course of study for Class IX and has passed Class IX examination from an institution recognised by/affiliated to any recognised Board in India, other than this Board, can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the students the mark sheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned. In case of such admissions the schools would obtain post facto approval of the Board within one month of admission of the student.

Admission to Class XI : Admission to class XI in a school shall be open only to such a student who has passed :

  • Secondary School Examination (Class X examination) conducted by this Board; or
  • has passed class IX examination from an institution affiliated to this Board.
  • an equivalent examination conducted by any other recognised Board of Secondary Education/Indian University and recognised by this Board as equivalent to its secondary school examination.

Admission to Class XII : No admission shall be taken in Class XII directly. Provided further that admission to Class XII in a school shall be open only to such a student who:

  • has completed a regular course of study for class XI; and
  • has passed Class XI examination from a school affiliated to this Board.
  • A student who has completed a regular course of study for Class XI and has passed Class XI Examination from an institution recognised by / affiliated to any recognised Board in India, other than this Board, can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the marksheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned. In case of such admissions the schools would obtain post facto approval of the Board within one month of the admission of the student.

The student who has been studying in an institution, which is not recognised by CBSE Board or by any other recognised Board of Secondary Education or by the State/ U.T. Government of the concerned place, will not be eligible to be admitted to any class.

Montessori

  • Eligibility for Pre-Montessori is 2+ year as on 31st March, of the Academic Year in which admission is required.(children born between 1st April 2021 and 30 June 2021 are age-eligible for application to Pre-Mont
  • Eligibility for Montessori-1 is 3+ year as on 31st March, of the Academic Year in which admission is required..(children born between 1st April 2020 and 30 June 2020 are age-eligible for application to Mont-1)
  • Eligibility for Montessori-2 is 4+ year as on 31st March, of the Academic Year in which admission is required.
  • Eligibility for Montessor-3 is 5+ year as on 31st March, of the Academic Year in which admission is required.

In exceptional circumstances, and depending on the development of the child, the age limit may be relaxed by a few months.
